Speed sensor III instructions 

1. Install the CV joint flange under the original plates and torque to specs.
2. Bend the provided bracket to approximate photo by placing one end in a vise and with an adjustable wrench put a 90 degree twist in the part. 
3. Install the bracket with an 8mm bolt into the empty hole on the Vanagon Automatic transmission.
4. Install the sensor into the bracket and adjust the gap from the sensor to the magnet to about 1/8". 
5. The black lead goes to ground, the red to ignition + and the green to the ECU speed sensor terminal. 

1. Install the CV joint flange under the original plates and torque to specs.
2. Bend the provided bracket so the unused hole on the side of the transmission will hold the sensor in the right position. 
3. Install the bracket with an 8mm bolt into the empty hole on the Vanagon  transmission.
4. Install the sensor into the bracket and adjust the gap from the sensor to the magnet to about 1/8".  
5. The black lead goes to ground, the red to ignition + and the green to the ECU speed sensor terminal.
